Anatomy of a Lion

Lions are easily one of the most celebrated creatures in cultures around the world. They appear on flags, crests, as mascots, in stories and nearly every other form of idolatry. They are widely recognised as symbols of strength, courage and bravery. Countries with no naturally occurring lions (at least not for millennia since ancient species went extinct) wholeheartedly embrace the lion as their national symbol – England for example. Though many could name at least five lion-themed things off the top of their head, not everyone can name five scientific facts as easily. We’re here to amend to that!
